Sylacauga High School Alumni Associatino

The Sylacauga High School Band has been in existence since 1936. The rich heritage of the band continues with the current band.

The SYLACAUGA HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI BAND ASSOCIATION has been formed. The purpose of the Association is to actively assist, enthusiastically support, and aggressively promote Sylacauga High School Band and Sylacauga High School through all reasonable and appropriate means.

All former band members and friends are invited to participate.

For your dues remittance, we expect you will receive 2 email membership newsletters to keep you up to date on the current band activities during the school year. You will also receive notice of alumni band meetings.

Alumni Band Night
September 17, 2010

Alumni Band Night is a home game against Moody. We now have all the music, including the music that is played in the stands (“The Horse”, “Beginnings”, etc.) on the website - SHS Alumni Band Music. Please plan to participate. We can guarantee it will be fun. Do not be concerned if you cannot attend the Thursday practice, we will make room for you on Friday. You also do not have to actually blow the horn, just be counted and have fun. Also please encourage your friends and family to participate.

Practice with alumni and students will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2010 and a reception or some type of social activity afterward. We will also have a social time on Friday from about 5:00 p.m. until about 6:30 p.m. If you plan to participate, please be at the band room by 5:30 p.m if possible.

The attire will be red shirt and black pants, if possible. If you would like an alumni band shirt, please order by August 15, 2010. The order form is on the website.
